Bonswa from Adam

We have had a very nice and safe first day in Haiti. We landed in Port-au-Prince this morning at last and were welcomed by numerous, heated Haitian workers who were all trying to take our bags. This experience was then followed by an eye opening drive through Port-au-Prince and to the countryside. In Port-au-Prince there was an incredible amount of people surrounding the streets, everywhere was crowded. The traffic gave us time to observe  the numerous tent shelters and camps that were constructed post earthquake. Our ride through the mountains to the town of Hinche went seamlessly when we made it in record time (just over two hours). We then ate a scrumptious and hearty meal at the rectory upon our arrival to St. Andres. With full stomachs, we are now relaxing upstairs and enjoying a cool breeze to the music of Senor Munoz and Mr. Crosby's guitars.
